IMPORTANT TRAVEL UPDATE: Returning to the U.S. from Jamaica as of June 30, 2018

**UPDATE ** Please note this upcoming change for CARRY-ON LUGGAGE effective June 30, 2018 when travelling to the U.S. FROM JAMAICA.

Effective Saturday, June 30, passengers travelling through Jamaica's International Airports, Sangster and Norman Manley, will not be allowed to carry powdered products weighing more than 12 ounces in their carry-on luggage on entering the United States of America (USA).

The ban, announced by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), applies to any container in excess of 12 ounces, such as coffee, spices. One pound of coffee is equivalent to 16 ounces.

Travellers do have the option of placing powdered products in their checked luggage at time of check-in.

If you purchase coffee or spices larger than 12 ounces post-security (in the Montego Bay or Kingston airport), you may place these items in your carry-on luggage since they are sealed. Once you arrive in the U.S., if you have a connecting flight, ensure that you remove the item(s) you purchased from your carry-on bag and place it in your checked luggage prior to going through security for your connecting flight.

Please check with your respective airlines for additional information.
